It's a purple heart! Don't worry about it. It's the users who are so terrified of losing their virginal "all positive" FB that they don't leave justified negatives that make it possible for bad buyers/sellers to keep on trucking.

The only time that oyu are likely to get a retalitory neg is if you worded yours accusingly. Negative Feedback from you like, "Thief! Deadbeat! Don't Deal With! Harrasser! Deadbeat!" is likely to get you a retalitory neg.
On the other hand, if you simple and unemotionally state the facts; such as,"No communication from Buyer. Item not paid for. Deadbeat." is not likely to get you a retalitory negative.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to email us with this information.
I have noted the user's account regarding this matter and warned them
that should they continue with this pattern their account will be
suspended.
The reason that I am not suspend the account immediately, is because a
majority of their negative feedback are from one user.
For future reference, always remember to file a nonpaying bidder alert
against a user should they not pay for an item. Once the nonpaying
bidder alert has been filed it will then post on the user's account and
appropriate action can be taken. Below is the link you need to use to
do this.

Thanks again for the information and thanks for helping keep eBay a fun
and safe place to trade!
Regards,

Nope, I negged not! Reason for the Inquiry rather than a report was my suspicion was peaked when I saw 12 negs on a buyer of ebay. I personally don't like anyone with 12 neg's bidding on my merchandise. I find it more risky than dealing with someone who doesn't have as many negs. 12 negs in a recent action, must have irked someone...

I left a calm, unemotional neg. last night to a non-paying bidder. He gave me a retalitory neg. today. My first out of 500+ positives. So it's just not necessarily so that you won't get a retalitory neg if you just 'state the facts.'

I got a bad check back today on a bidder, I looked at their feedback and saw that they are racking the negatives up, checked on all the sellers who told the truth and she has negged them all back. I just had 3 negatives removed with Square Trade and have a near perfect record, I sure hate to add any new ones, but don't want any other sellers to get scammed by her, so I will. Maybe she will get naru'd fairly quickly so we don't have to deal with people like her.

If she's racking up the negs as you say then don't bother. She will probably be naru before long anyway. Take all the necessary steps to get her to make good on the check and see what happens. It's not always necessary to neg if someone is sinking fast...
