Hi, All: To all the Ebay seller out there. I have a question on rude international bidder. On my auction, I inform bidder I do not accept international bidder. But, no, they bid it anyway. That's ok.

The only problem is I quote them the wrong postage, shortage $2. The bidder didn't want to pay the additional $2 and was very rude to me in the e-mail. I refund her money and tell her I don't have to sell it to her. Because on my auction, it stated I don't sell to international bidder. Am I doing it right by refunding her payment? or just eat it the $2.

Wow - That upset over $2 or over them being rude? Is it worth $2 to start over and relist it? Was it a $5 sale or a $2,000 sale. Up to you. Sounds like you had already said OK to the sale. Kind of looks bad to back up to a previous position after one level of negotuation is settled.
Like the gent that asked the lady to sleep with him for $1 million dollars. Can you really do that she said? Well he said how about $1,000? What? I'm not that kind of girl she said! NO NO He said we are past that and talking price now.

this is a tough one. because you quoted a price, imho, you need to follow through and eat the $2. however, you did say you refunded the money back to her, so expect a neg.

after this one, i would either sell internationally, or be very firm about not selling internationally.

if the auction ends and it is won by an international, then see what ebay says about cancelling out a completed auction.

I'm sure that most people here will tell you to stop being a bad seller, and the buyer is always right, but screw that...

It's YOUR auction and YOUR terms.

Tell that joker to take a course in phonics, and if they can't read, to stay the hell away from your auctions.

OR, just eat the 2 bucks.

either way.

Well Canadians are North Americans.
They are just being held by that government.
How about we go liberate them?

Personally, if the money had already been paid, I never would have asked for the $2.00. I've mis-quoted shipping (due to a typo!) and immediately caught it so the one email followed the other and the bidder hadn't even made payment yet, and they had no problem with the extra... but if they'd already paid for the item in full I'd just drop it. My mistake and all that.

Then again; I can be hotheaded. If someone is rude to me, I might just tell them to stuff it. I figure putting up with lots of BS is just selling out, and I hate that. Depends on how bad I need the money, and how quickly. A bird in the hand and all that jazz.
