I dont post here much, but rather just observe. So, I feel like I know most sort of on a personal basis one way or another. Anyway, I am not here about ebay, I just would like anyone who reads this to say a prayer for my friends 15 year old son, Shayne.

He has been having seizures since November 27th. The seizures are so bad that he has stopped breathing a few times. The Doctors have run every test under the sun and they still cant find out what is wrong with him. Today, my friend tells me that the Doctors are going to put her son in a coma because he cant fight it anymore. This poor boy is giving up the will to live. Now, the Doctors are going to run these tests all over again to look for anything strange that they may have missed such as arsenic, aluminum, etc. Cat scans, MRIS, Spinal Taps, all showed up nothing. I just feel terrible for this family.

Anyways, I feel helpless. There is nothing I can do for them but be supportive and listen. It is so hard to remain calm and listen but that is what she needs right now. The only thing she wants is for her friends to pray for her son. So, if everyone who reads this can say a prayer for my friends son, my friend and her family would be very grateful.

Also, if anyone who reads this has ever heard of anything like this and you have any idea what it may be, please let me know..

Thank you, Linda

Hi Linda,

Your friends son will be in my prayers.

I know this boy that had that happen to him, when he was 12 yrs old. They found out he was allergic to red dye. Like in kool-aid, or slurpee's, anything with red dye in it. Once he quit using stuff with red dye, the seizers went away. I don't know if this could help or not, but thought it was worth mentioning.

My prayers are with you all.

Kelly

linda-this is such a sad situation. i remember seeing on t.v. a story about a person who was having some serious medical problems for which no cause could be found. a doctor finally discovered that a small bone protuberance was putting pressure on a part of the brain and causing the problem. when the bone was surgically filed down the problem went away. it was apparently something very few doctors were familiar with. a longshot, but you never know.

Linda, I wouldn't venture a guess as to what the problem could be...But I will keep you all in my prayers....

Hang in there & continue to be supportive, that can mean the world to those who need to draw strength from you....

Linda, you've got it. I'll pray for your friend's son, your friend, and you, too. You will need strength to comfort them. Obviously for them, strength, health, and hope. My friends also pray for others in need, so I'll share this with them. It must be very scary for them, and leaving them with that helpless feeling.

Do they go to church? Can they get their church to do intercessory praying for their situation? If the doctor's can't find anything wrong (and I hope they keep searching for the cause), but my first thought when I read your post is maybe the boy has a demon? Along with taking the boy to doctors, I would definately take him to the pastor, too.

My friend had the same problem back when we were in high school. She had grand seizures, and no one could find a cause or cure. The only thing that would control the seizures was some kind of phenobarbitol (sp?) prescription, which she takes to this day.

pumpkinhead - I also don't post here much but always observe. I'm sorry about your friend's young son. I know this is the worst thing parents should ever have to endure. I have no idea of anything to tell you other than what you have already been told. I am connected to 3 different churches that have prayer rings ongoing for these types of situations. I will connect with them now and all I can suggest to you is the same as the others. It will be so comforting for you to be there for their needs for listening and understanding, love and prayers. My prayers are also with all of you. ANTEKS4U.

Hi Linda: Have you tried looking on the internet. You might be able to find a site where people are familiar with this type of thing or who could steer you in the right direction. My best wishes to you, your friend and to her son.

Linda
First let me express my sorrow for what your friends family is going through now. Has Shayne travelled out of the area in the last year? The reason I ask is he could have been exposed to something that the local doctors do not recognize. I live in the San Joaquin Valley in California. I don't know if you have ever heard of Valley fever, but it is a disease caused by a fungus unique to the SJV. Any doctor in practice in the valley will recognize the symptoms immediately. The dangerous thing about this disease is when an out of state visitor contracts it. Their local doctors may have never heard of it much less be able to diagnose it accurately. The result is often tragic in these cases. The first few cases of mad cow disease that turned up in this country baffeled doctors also. Is there any possibility this may be the situation with Shayne?

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Thanks everyone for your input. Hardoutift, I may email you later today. It is 5 in the morning here, and I am kind of useless, considering I cant sleep.

Mindreader, you should be ashamed of yourself. I am not a troll. I cant even imagine why you would accuse me of that. Secondly, how dare you make a joke about your 3 children being killed in a car accident. How Dare You! Do you have any idea what it is like to lose a loved one? Especially a child. I guess not. Any idiot who would sit around and make jokes about something so serious obviously doesnt have a heart big enough to care. Get lost. I am ignoring you from now on. You make me sick with your dumb replies.

My friends need prayers and strength right now. Please pray for them.

Linda

I am sorry that I didn't see mindreader's post earlier - I've deleted it now. You won't need to put him on ignore - he was suspended for other offenses about an hour ago.

My apologies that his post caused you distress.

Hey Mindreader I knew you must have had some serious problems in life to have such a jaundiced attitude! )

Meanwhile the auctionwatch legal staff need to have a head's up here as soon as possible. It will be known that auctionwatch is acting as a publisher and not a carrier. This means that the Prodigy defense will not apply to auctionwatch. If anything slips by then god knows who will be on to auctionwatch with a major suit so I hope auctionwatch better have deep pockets - because that censorship policy can really backfire on the corporate entity if a mistake is made.

Remember we are no longer in a kinder/ gentler society. From now on it is every litigant for themselves and ready to sue your proverbial earl butz off at the first opportunity...

rgds,

ps watch this get censored and ME get banned - does not matter - how many IP addresses and how many ID's do you want me to use??

Okay Guys, my friends really need your prayers more than ever right now. Last night, the doctors found very high levels of lead in his blood. So, they are almost certain that he has lead poisoning. They believe he somehow got lead in his body when he was a baby and it remained dormant until now. So, if he is strong enough to even survive this ordeal, there is an 80% chance that he is going to have brain damage. They know that he has some damage to his eyesight. This family needs a miracle and lots of prayers right now.

I did some research last night, and this is a real eye opener. If you have an older house, you should have your children tested for lead. I am bringing both of my children down to the doctor to be tested. If lead is caught early enough, it can be treated. This whole ordeal with Shayne could have been prevented years ago if he was only tested. I cannot stress the importance of this. I never knew that lead poisoning could be this bad. It is something that is not really a big issue anymore since paints and other products no longer have lead in them, but you just never know.

On the brighter side of things, I have contacted every friend, neighbor, and relative that I could think of and have collected just about $1500.00 for the family. This boys father is not getting paid for the time he is out of work. He has worked for this company for years and this the thanks he gets. Didnt pay him for one lousy day! So, at least they will be able to pay their mortgage without worrying about it.

Please say a prayer tonight, this family really needs it.

Thank you all...Linda

Me again...If everyone who reads this will just post something positive, it will remain on the front page. And if it remains on the front page, this family will get more prayers since more people will be looking at it. If everyone who reads this says a little prayer, then maybe a miracle will happen....Please...Thank you

pumpkinhead, you are still in my prayers, as it the boy and his family. Good to hear at least the doctors had found the cause. I did not know that lead could stay in your body for so long before having an effect. Hang in there!

Dear pumkinhead, having been a born again believer for over 40 years, I KNOW that prayer does work, God is real, and cares, and I will be praying for you all. I have seen so many answers to prayer that are beyond human understanding. "As for God, His ways are perfect"
