Hi all, I have looked and looked. All I know is that this is a children's tableware set. It is made by BSF, from Germany. The graphics on this are just totally wierd! The napkin ring has a dog with a musket chasing a mailman, the knife has a girl who won't cut her hair or nails, the fork has a girl sucking her thumb, and the spoon has mom (?) freaking out. At least that's near as I can figure out. Does anyone know of any childrens tales involving such characters, or what the significance of these characters might be? Also, the pieces are marked BSF INOX, there is a 90 inside a diamond, and a 1 inside a square. Here are a couple of pictures to help you out, ANYONE? Please? Help me?
Thanks!

The girl on the box lid looks familiar, like maybe from a cartoon series or book series. My senior moments are failing me beyond that.
I think, if I am remembering at all correctly, that the pictures are all of different characters in this story line.

The company is Wilkens BSF and they do mostly Modern design high end stainless, that sells very well in Sweden and Norway.

The characters are from a German book for children (I can't for the life of me remember the title) which contains some rather horrific rhymes about what happens to bad children. That's not a mailman the dog is chasing--it's a little boy who tormented him mercilessly. The little boy sucking his thumb eventually loses both thumbs to the "Long-Legged Scissorman", who lops them off with giant shears. The character in red and on the inside cover of the box is a boy who refuses to cut his hair, and the character on the spoon is a little girl who plays with matches and eventually lights herself on fire. Pleasant collection of characters, isn't it? And you thought German fairy tales were Grimm......
Edited to add:
The character in blue isn't the little firebug--it's the anorexic boy. The title of the book is "Der Struwwelpeter" by Dr. Heinrich Hoffman. There's at least one copy up for sale on Ebay right now. If you want to see the pictures and stories from the book, check out this website:

OMG! I'm going to have nightmares now! I don't know if I should market this set as a horror story or what now!
Thanks!
Anyone know where I might find the name of the children's book?

This website has the English translations I remember. The title translates to "The Shock-Headed Peter". You have a Cruel Frederick napking ring, a little Suck-a-Thumb fork, a Shock-Headed Peter knife, and a spoon with Augustus, who would not have any soup.

One of the books is listed in "Wierd Stuff", while another is in "Fairy Tales". Definite possibility for double listing! LOL I've often thought about getting a copy for my little thumb-sucker, but he has enough trauma in his life.
Edited to add: Der Struwwelpeter seems to have a HUGE following, judging by the number of websites that pertain to it. Should sell quite nicely.

I already got ya linked! Being a musician for 30 years, I've learned the difference between "competition" and "resources". It's a fine line sometimes, but it is possible to lend a hand to the competion, very often it is quite helpful to do so!
I will be listing this on eBay this week, thanks!

Thanks--I'll be watching. If I knew I wouldn't be scarring my children and grandchildren for life, I'd bid on it. BTW, that's not Cruel Frederick on the napking ring, it's the Huntsman, and that's a rabbit chasing him.
