AirAmerica? I think that was his name. Isnt he the poster who knew alot about shipping? And there are many others missing too. I havent seen Godzillatemple in forever. So many arent here anymore, and those people are the ones who helped me when I first started, just reading their posts.

Hey there, Ms. Maui!

Nice to be missed. I actually took a few months off from eBay, AuctionWatch and life in general as I tried to reevaluate what I wanted to do with myself. I have a brand new career now, and have also started buying and selling on eBay again. I even bought myself one of those fancy, shmancy Sony Mavica thingamabobs!

Don't know what happened to AirAmerica, though....

Maui- I was just saying the same thing about you. I have recently, like two days ago, refered a very good friend to the boards here. She was having a problem and couldn't seem to get help on the ebay boards. In telling her about this wonderful place I mentioned several of you guys here that are always so quick to help. I mentioned you but said that I hadn't seen you around in a while, then here you were!

I'm here but sure having a hard time heading over to eBay to list. Finding every excuse in the book. Right now it's the postage thing.

Hi all. Nice to be missed. And I mean that.
Hi Maui.

Where have I been? Tending to my life, which, in a nutshell, has sucked out the wazoo for the past couple of months.

Let's start with eBay sales nosediving in early Fall. I didn't make my car insurance payment and it lapsed. Then I was in an accident attempting to make a left hand turn at a somewhat blind spot onto Kihei Road... making a left hand turn on Maui is up on the top ten list of most difficult things to do, at least for me. So anyway, I backed up into a parking space and looked over at the other driver who looked like she was moving on, so I went onto the school, 5 minutes away, to pick my kids up. I was walking toward the office to phone in the accident when a cop pulled up behind me. He cited me for no insurance, which I went to court for last week and was served with papers that I'm being charged for leaving the scene of an accident, which could, at maximum penalty, mean jail time so I have to go talk to the public defender next week. In the meantime, my ex, who has been rolling in dough all year long and braying about it, conveniently got laid off from his job at a time I was filing for an increase in support. I found out a few days before Christmas, the day after my cat died and we buried him in the backyard. No Christmas present from him for my kids "But Cat, I was going to get them PlayStation2 and I can't find it." No kidding, you can't find the hottest toy on Christmas Eve? Humph! ... no support from him for 2 months now. 3 days ago I got a call from my father's wife who told me he is in the hospital after he woke up one morning disoriented and with chills and a fever. He didn't know what year it was, who he was, or who is wife was, and has been diagnosed with Meningitis. He is responding to the medication and now has his wits about him somewhat... has 5 iv's in him and his arms are restrained. And he's 6000 miles away. When it rains it pours.
Not intended to be a sad sack wailing, but you asked.......
That's most of the bad stuff.

The good stuff is that eBay sales have been starting to blow through the roof again the past few weeks, my kids made honor roll again, and I have 170 pages of a suspense stalker novel completed that I'm hoping against hope I can get published so I can send my ex a postcard from Fiji and say "Wish you were here. NOT!" LOL

Sooooooooo, how's everyone else?
I'm listing all day today so I might not get back on until tomorrow or whatever but I'll pop back in. I do miss this board.

KCAT!!! OMG! Thats AWFUL! I know ebay sucks...Im in the same boat,lol...only problem, youre in the bow and Im in the stern...but tis the same ol boat, lol. Sorry to hear about your father, truly I am. Know about your ex..doesnt surprise me, but it still saddens me because I know how it makes you feel. The BOOK!!! Now...thats another matter! Sound exciting! I will cross my fingers that you get high approval and publishers come aknockin at your door and you get to send that postcard from FIJI! The accident...well, dunno what to say about that, except Im glad you werent hurt. Hope it all works out with the law over there and you just get a teeny tiny fine.

On the bright side...ebay IS picking up! Even with us on the tippy ends of the boat, yes? Just hang in there...it will get better.

Glad you came and joined us, Kcat. Dont be a stranger.

edited to add my sympathies about the cat. Which one was it? Im sorry, whichever one it was. Hows the pooch? Not a puppy anymore, is he? lol

kiheicat - I'm so sorry to hear of all the bad things happening to you. Glad to know your dad is recovering. I'm sure you won't won't go to jail for the accident and hope the fine is small.

That's wonderful about your book! Good luck with it.

Thanks all. I really didn't mean to whine, though...you know how I feel about whiners... Maui especially knows, lol
But it did feel good to get that out. It's been too long since I've haunted these boards...haven't even been lurking.

Maui, the cat was Littlefoot, one of the ones born on the 4th of July and the only one we kept. Karma, his big brother has been missing for months. Lucky, the 'puppy' is nothing short of a big galoot now but incredibly sweet and ferociously loyal. She still stays mostly outside because she's too clumsy to let in for too much of the time without 30 minutes of prep work ahead of time to move chewables.

Maui, I'll email you a chapter or two of my manuscript if you want, and/or maybe a synopsis...let me know.

I'm sure all will work out in the end. It usually does. My favorite saying is 'Only when you have walked through the deepest valley can you appreciate the highest mountain.' Beautiful quote, and it's a Nixon quote!

Anyway, can't dawdle, got oodles of awesome stuff to slap on today so I have to get the lead out.

I fell asleep last night watching one of those commercials for starving children in India. How can I compare?

This too shall pass...

Kcat...you KNOW I would love to read some of your book. Hell, I would enjoy getting ANY email from you, lol. You know this

Sorry about the kitties...but the one that is missing is probably much loved by someone down the street (I hope). And I know all about galooty dogs, heh. AND...whining is aloud here, ya know. Helps to vent out, whine, share, laugh, complain and not have to do it alone.
