Well, after all this time I finally left a negative. My reasons were good, but I have, until now, had a perfect feedback record, (365) so I am lamenting the fact that this will change. The person bought a widget for under $10.00, waited for four days to answer my emails, then said that they we having financial troubles, and couldn't pay for the widget.
So I checked there currant activity, which I have done before when I have gotten this excuse. This person is still bidding, buying and evidently paying for their purchases. They are a newbie, with sunglasses and very low feedback.
Please make me feel that by doing the right thing, that the neg that I will probably get was worth it, to ME.
thanks

You did the right thing. You've just warned the next seller that this deadbeat finds that they stiffed you. If he gives you a retalitory negative, just post your facts and move on. 300 and some positives really outweigh 1 negative.

You did do the right thing.. Hopefully, you left your NEG after filing your NPB report, followed by filing for your FVF credit. Only those count toward giving that bidder the boot...
That's why you see users with 40, 50 NEGS (exageration, there ) still bidding...cuz NEG was left too soon

Gosh Shosh!

Shosh,
I filed the NPB report ten days ago, then today filed for my FVF credit. I left the neg after filing for the FVF, was this the right way?
I know that I did the right thing. The main reason I filed was not only because this was a true deadbeat in my opinion, but because of all the other people who have posted negs, and therefor helped me make a judgement on whether to accept a check or even to cancel a bid or not.
I had even written back to this person, after they emailed me about their financial problems and said... "I do understand that sometimes financial problems come up unexpectedly, if this is so for you, why are you bidding on other items even as you read this" I figured that this statement might make them understand. Since they were a newby, I thought that maybe they didn't realize that their bidding record was open for anyone to see.
