Paypal? Checks? No Sir No Ma'Am
I do not like them, Sam I am.
I do not like them with a fox
or in my mail or PO box.
What part do you not understand
of "NO, DON'T PUT CHECKS IN MY HAND"?
Is this unclear? Or too complex?
I DON'T TAKE PAYPAL, DON'T TAKE CHECKS.
Money orders, they will do,
you send to me, I ship to you.
I don't rip people off, or scam,
I just don't take them, Sam I am.

Good song, wasp!
However...
I DON'T take checks no matter what amount
and Paypal STOLE from my account!!!
I'm glad your stash is fat and plump
but don't judge how I do business or I'll kick your rump
Anyone else care to join in for another verse? Come on, all together now....

I will take all types of cash
In order to increase my stash
Be it Dollar, Yen or Pound
So long as currency is sound
But if you ask 'Do you take Paypal?'
I will say 'Get on your way, pal'.

Lol. A LOT of talent in AW posters!
If people want to take checks, Paypal, etc I totally understand. What works for you is great. To me, even though I have sold on Ebay for 3+ years it is the online equivilent of a yardsale or flea market. Traditionally cash is THE method of payment. Buyers seem to understand. I have run auctions both ways with little differrence in the ending price. What works bedt for me is to offer to take several kinds of payment and other a slight discount for the one that is easiest for me. Good luck all!

Thought I'd update it to something from this decade. Here's my version of Where have all the cowboys gone.
I haunt all the thrift shops
and all the estate sales
looking for things to resell.
I find lots of widgets
at a really discount price
and I know that I'll do real well.
I start them around half price
without a high reserve
where are the lucky buyers?
where are the page views?
where is financial security?
where have all the bidders gone?
It didn't sell the first time,
I'm just a bit surprised
but I'm not ready to give up yet
I start them around half price
and dont use a reserve
they'll sell this time around I'll just bet
not a single nibble
no one seems to care
where are the bargain seekers?
where did the mavens go?
where is my mortgage payment?
where have all the bidders gone?
I start it at a dollar,
I dont use a reserve
and once again I hit relist
finally get one bidder
and that is where it ends
he wants to use Paypal so I'm pissed
I dont want to sign up
it's not in my TOS
where is my handsome profit?
where's my last second snipe?
where is my happy ending?
where have all the bidders gone?
