Anyone know of any other payment services that work like bidpay??? I like bidpay but have gotten a few complaints about their fees.

I just signed on with MoneyZap as I have heard only good things about them. I may be wrong, as I haven't actually had occasion to use them yet, but I believe they are free on both ends.

MoneyZap is not free indefinitely. They will soon start charging a $2.00 fee for whoever INITIATES a transaction.

There's another service called Virtual Bank Card which works similarly, in that the buyer purchases a money order, the seller receives e-mail notification, and the company mails the money order to the seller. The service charge is $2 to the buyer. I believe it's US only at this time.

Not sure of the exact url, but I think it's www.virtualbankcard.com.

Thanks for the info, ExecGirl!

I just went to the site and was looking for fee info and could not find anything definitive. Guess that's why. They are keeping their options open.

Money zap is US only.

The best part of bidpay is that bidders from all over the world can use it. For bidders in many countries this is cheaper than getting their MO's in their own countries.

I'd never offered BidPay until an overseas customer used it (w/o asking..but what the heck..money is money). The service to the seller is so nice & it's so easy for the buyer that I have included it in my payment options. Now several overseas customers have used it & it's great.

Just started offering Bidpay and it was used twice without a problem. Money received without delay.
Yesterday I saw a AW thread on Payingfast and now today I can't find it. I thought it would be nice to offer more than one service. Has anyone used this "free to sellers" service?

I've had customers outside of the US use BidPay without any problems at all. I like it.

I've used Bidpay for hundreds of transactions with no problems at all. I just don't understand why U.S. customers would rather pay $5 for Bidpay to send me a $10 money order than pay for free with Billpoint or one of the other free services?

I've never had a problem with receiving money from BidPay. They're pretty quick. The only aspect I don't really like is their email support.

I've sent about 5 emails over the past few months. At first they would reply in 24-48 hours or so. Then it was same day. Now they don't reply at all. I sent an email to them about 10 days ago, and another about three days ago for the same question (since I got no reply). To date, I have not received a reply to either one.

ExecutiveGirl, if you think it's weird that US buyers will pay $5 to send you a $10 money order, I just had a US buyer pay $5 to send me a money order for $4.95, not that I'm complaining, the Western Union money orders are quick and easy to cash, and I don't incur any fees.

Does anyone recommend MoneyZap? What are the fees and what are their reputation?

I use paydirect from Yahoo have been using it for several months and I am very happy with it. For now it is free but all of them will eventually charge.

Can you use Yahoo Pay Direct for eBay auctions? Please excuse my ignorance but I'm fairly new at this game and don't know where to find out this information.
