Just curious if anyone knows what happens to auctions that were scheduled to launch, during what has become an extented outage period, once the site is back up and running.

Hi again - I just received the following email from Auction Watch Customer Support - I will paste it here <i>

Hi,

On Friday, January 19, we experienced a hardware failure which resulted
in continuing intermittent problems over the weekend and into Monday,
Januray 22. As of Monday, January 22, Auction Manager is unavailable
and is not expected to be available until later in the day.

The problems you may have experienced Friday, Saturday, and for most of
Sunday are outlined below:

1. Since we were forced to restore the database from a backup, any
auction listings that were created on Friday but not launched need to be
reentered.

2. Auction listings that were successfully launched on Friday will need
to be reimported using the Track Auction feature.

3. Auction listings that were scheduled to launch during our Friday
outage need to be resubmitted, as they will not have launched.

4. Sporadic site slowness, timeouts, and "page not available" errors
occurring throughout the weekend, particularly when relisting, creating
new auctions, or attaching images to your auctions.

As of Sunday evening, Auction Manager has been completely unavailable.
Our engineers have been working on restoring services throughout the
weekend, and are continuing to diagnose the root of the problem in order
to fully restore services as quickly as possible and to avoid future
problems of a similar nature.

Any auctions that were scheduled to launch on Sunday did not launch, but
should be available for resubmittal when Auction Manager is fully
restored.

If you need to launch your auctions immediately, we suggest that you
launch them directly on the auction site. You may import the active
auctions manually using the Track Auction feature once services are
restored. ***Please note that auctions launched directly on the auction
sites will not retain their descriptions if you relist them using
Auction Manager.***

If you are still seeing the error page indicating that Auction Manager
is down once services are restored, please remember to clear the cache
in your browser or click the "refresh" button while holding the shift
key on your keyboard.

Please accept our apologies for this extended outage. We can assure you
that we are committed to preventing problems like this in the future.
As always, we appreciate your patience and support.

***Please note that this is a bulk email sent out to all of our
customers who wrote in this weekend. If this email does not address
your question, please write us back at [email protected]. Thank
you again for your patience.***
Regards,

Chris B.
