I had a family emergency this month and my card was declined when my rather substanctial Ebay listing bill came through. I receive a notice that I need to pay through a direct site online, which I plan to do. I am due a rather large check from a client on the 31st and this is what i am going to use to pay the bill. Here is the question, if I don't get the bill paid by then end of the month (which I am sure they will prevent me from listing) how hard will it be to get back on? Is it going to be an incredible hassle? I am pretty worried about it because a large part of my income comes from Ebay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Can you get another just to use for ebay expenses? That way, if you paid it off monthly, this wouldn't happen again.
As to getting back on after being suspended, I can't answer that one. Good luck!

Have you tried contacting eBay directly to discuss the situation with them?
In the event that they do suspend you from listing until the bill is paid, it seems to me that they would give you less trouble about being reinstated if they were informed in advance of the reason for the late payment.
I would:
1.) Contact eBay accounting department and inform them of your situation. Try to see if something can't be worked out to address the issue and avoid a suspension.
2.) Be sure to get the name of the person you talk to and try to get a reference number so that you can refer back to it should anything go wrong.
3.) In the event of a suspension, you can inform eBay that you have already discussed the situation with the above person and that they should have a record of your conversation (the reference number).
I would think that the above would minimize any "hassle" you may have in the event that eBay does suspend your listing priviledges until you manage to pay the bill...

From personal experience...as soon as your payment is recorded they restore your posting privelages. They don't actually suspend/naru, they just block your posting ability (at least that is what happened to me)

Ebay will send you a notice that your credit card on file was declined and will attempt again. What will happen is they'll block you from selling until you pay off enough to get under the $25 limit. It's really easy to make your one time credit card payment right on ebay, and instanly get your selling account restored. Don't worry about any hassles, they want your business back, and it's all automated.

I goofed and did not have enough in my account when they tried to do the automatic payment and they just waited and added it to the next month even though it was about $1,000.00. I never heard of shutting you down. But then I have auto pay set up maybe they treat that diff.
