I was just wondering if it was possible to sell your eBay account with all its feedback. I understand that obviously all contact information along with credit card and email would have to be transfered if it was done, but what does anyone know about selling it or anything else. Does anyone else have an interest in selling as well? Any info would be a appreciated!

Hmmmmmm Seems to me that eBay doesn't allow you to sell your user ID and your feedback.

Somewhere in my memorey banks is the notion that eBAy decided some time ago that eBay "owns", or at least the rights to, user ID's and the feedback.

Someone else will come along and know for sure.

I understand what you are saying SMW, but if money or whatever is exchanged for a transfer of the account, how would eBay ever know, and wouldn't that account still be their property if they are claiming it to be? How do you own it, if you can't control it LOL

What is your User ID Shoshanah? I'll check it out, and make you a counter offer! LOL

But, seriously, that is a heavy-duty request. Who would sell their good name to someone they do not know? Most nof us prefer to remain in charge of potentially tarnishing our good name

Too often, a new business operating under an old, trusted name, does not work well! I have frequently tried stores under new managements, using the former ower's name..and was totally disappointed...

Build your own good name..Do it the hard way...

I asked Ebay this one time on the phone and was told you could ...it is like the goodwill that goes with any business.

Thanks for the info LowPro!

With that in mind I'd love to see if anyone would be willing to transfer their account to me for a fee! You can email me at [email protected] with what you have. I'm thinking I will pay around a dollar per positive comment, but let me know what you need. I'm only interested in accounts that have no feedback, and from 20-100 rating. This is legit, and I'll pay through PayPal!

Forgot to proof read...

I'm not interested if you have NEGATIVE comments in your feedback! Sorry...

You can't sell you eBay user-id or feedback unless it is "with" the business. Say someone who runs 50% of their business on eBay and the rest out of a brick and mortor.

Why can't you just start your own account and accumulate your own positive feedback? It would be more...rewarding, wouldn't it? I'm much more proud of the 170 some feedbacks I have because I earned them as opposed to just buying them from someone.

Maybe that's just me though?

I agree...however you cannot run over 5000 auctions a week effectively on one account. We have a lot of product to move, but need another account, and need it fast. To get the feedback I am talking about is time consuming through bidding on items. Trying to sell without an established account is difficult as well, so I was just curious if this idea would work. Thanks for the input!

I have an idea for you.

Do what the rest of us did.... Buy some stuff and build up your feedback!

Sounds resonable that if you are going to pay for the feedback, you might as well get something in return.

Geeps if you have that much stuff to sell why don't you pay someone to help you out?

I'll volunteer

Maybe you can start another account and have the ME page explain why you need more than one-the 5000 auctions a week thing. Just a thought, I know some people have more than one account. I don't, but I mostly buy.

This subject again? OK, whats your BEST price?
You want a 5000 feedback? Will a 1000 do?
I will email Ebay a portion of the proceeds if your offer is decent.

How about 7200 plus feedback and a website to boot -- with all the added fees -- It is time to sell the business.....and move on....
