I haven't really kept good financial records up to this point, but want to come up with a system, obviously the least time consuming.
I have MS Works spreadsheet and Quicken, I don't know how to use either one, the only area I find confusing is the formulas other than the basic ones (addition...etc).
Does anyone use a program that automatically computes ebay's fees via a formula? If so what program and would you be willing to share the formula, also some suggestions on fields (info) that you recommend in these spreadsheets.

I use excell i list the item, what I paid ,what it sold for, date paid , date shipped and gross profit.
I just use my monthly ebay bill for fees and i add all incidental selling related expenses ( last year i charged my digital camera and laptop to ebay expenses)
I have evrythig set up so it automaticly calculates when I enter a figure.
so I constantly can see my year to date profit . It took a little while to set up but it works great.

I use Quickbooks Pro 2000. It can keep track of inventory and when you print a receipt/invoice it takes the item out of inventory, warns you when inventory is low - and does all your basic accounting for you. My taxes are soooooooooooooo simple since I started using way back in the days of DOS!

I have Microsoft Works just like jlady, and I also don't know how to use the spreadsheet or the database. If I ask taz8057 to send me her sample Excel spreadsheet, I am wondering if Microsoft Works will be able to open a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet? I know that I am not able to open a Microsoft Word attachment because I have Microsoft Works.
Does any one use the spreadsheet in Microsoft Works?
