I posted a complaint on a bidder yesterday and filed with e-Bay for non-payment. Bidder had remained unresponsive to my inquiries about unreceived payment. Today I received 53 e-mails from him in a matter of minutes--cussing, threatening, and some where he just hit letters on the keyboard. What would you do? This bidder resides approx 2 hours from here. His payment also arrived today--and I mailed his item--and had just sat down to notify him when his bombardment began.

How long did it take him to pay? I have always been afraid of something like that happening! We have a po box, I hope that you do also. I would send his emails to safe harbor. I guess it wouldnt really do alot of good to email him back because if someone comes that undone over eBay they probably werent that stable to begin with.

Get the local (yours and his) police involved. Most departments have internet-savvy police who know how to handle this, especially physical threats. Save all the EMails for evidence and make sure that the nutcase knows that you are sending them to the police. They will visit him because physical threats are illegal, regardless if they are made in person or via EMail.
