I've been bidding on a certain type of clothing lately in a certain section. I just received an email with that info in the subject wondering if I was single and over 40 and if I would like to get to know this person better. They then apologized for any intrusion. Has this ever happened to anyone else???

LOL! I have an image of this one and it's not a pretty sight. He must have been emailing fast and furious. Maybe Ebay should have a personals section for these folks?

A year ago I was selling a bunch of lot auctions of sewing patterns. One lot was nothing but slips. I got the strangest email from a guy. Asking me where I came up with my iD (watching Zena one night)and email address (a version of my dogs name), If I made any of the patterns to wear. All kinds of "heavy breather" type questions. I simply ignored him, also.
It still gives you the creeps emails like that come in.
I can agree with some people who says the intenet lets you be too anonymous. The only good thing about it is, I have a PO Box so even if someone like that pulled my contact info, they wouldn't get any where near me. Small town PO and I know all the clerks plus I live in a different small town than where my Box is. Actually, me and my PO Box are in different counties.
I think most people will get one of these emails eventually. I never expected it selling patterns, then again, this was when all the panty auctions was being discussed here.
