I have to share this one for laughs! A person won my auction for 4 Kelly barbie dolls and said she would be sending a MO and needed it for a birthday in 10 days. I said if I received MO I would ship same day and she would get it in time. Two days before the day she needed the item, I received an email that she had not received her Barbies. I emailed her back and said I did not receive the MO. She then responded "I thought you would just send the barbies, they are probably crossing in the mail!" Well it has been 2 weeks later, no MO or no responses from my emails I sent her! I am afraid to give her a neg as she will no doubt give me a neg. What a JERK! Yes, I will mail out without payment DUHHH!!

Thats bad...
Listen to this one. I have a few, but this one is one of my favorites.
I sent an item UPS and it shows up as delivered to the bidders address. The person emails me about 30 minutes after it was listed as delivered and says he did not get it. I stated it was delivered 30 minutes ago and he still claimed he did not get it. Well, I tell him I will investigate it. I then emailed him back an hour later and told him I use to work for UPS (true) and that i had connections in UPS (false). I said that the driver personally called me and said that he told me that he put it out on the front door and pulled away to deliver another package. I then told him the driver saw someone come out and get the package.
I get this email later that night:
"Sorry about the confusion. My dad went out and got my package and put it away and forgot to tell me about it. Thanks for sending it."
Could he be telling the truth? Well, possibly. Nah, there is no way that was the truth... He figured because I did not have him sign for it that he could rip me off... Especially since he emailed me first 30 minutes after the package arrived...

That's nothing!
I get a check for $30.00 from a customer.
It bounces, after I send the item.
He writes to tell me the check will bounce, and to not re-deposit it, that he will send me a MO along with my bank chages.
I get the MO, and deposit it.
MO bounces! he stopped payment because he says that the item never arrived.
I track it through the PO, and three weeks later, lo and behold, the package was delivered to the wrong address, but HE was the mail carrier that delivered it to the WRONG ADDRESS!

You are probably 100% right on this one due to the wording of her email.
However, in defense of buyers/sellers everywhere:
I once sent a payment and waited and waited for my item only to get an email from an upset seller that my payment was OVERDUE and did I want the item or not!
I once sent a payment and waited and waited for the item to appear (my seller had already told me the item was on the way) and after 15 days I emailed asking about it.
Turns out my seller had mailed the package, only she mailed it to the wrong person and that person hadn't bothered to ask the seller why she was getting a "FREEBIE" in addition to her regular package!
Now, I email when payment is on the way. Wait 7 days and email to see if my payment has arrived. Then I email when the package reaches me. I imagine I have some sellers who feel I am "spamming" them!!!! I feel it's better to be safe than sorry!

I wish there was a prize for the best story of the day, because you'd win it hands down. Thank you for the hearty laugh. I'll be giggling about this the rest of the day.

As a seller I like it when the buyer emails me when payment is sent and when item is received. I email at all steps, EOA, pymt rec, item mailed. I usually wait 7 days after item is sent to see if I get an email from buyer. I hate to ask if item arrived. I feel, like you, that it may be too much (SPAM). If no emails then I assume that everything is OK and I leave FB.

Pocono, what ever happened to that guy? It was obviously on purpose. Did you turn him in to the USPS? Not like they would do anything. On an old po box when I had a mail order company all my mail would turn up opened and all cash was missing. This was daily! I complained and even called the headquarters and the postal inspector. I never heard a response and it continued for about a year until I left the PO.
If your wondering why I did not leave right away, its because the address was printed on paper, which is not as easy to change as a webpage...

How do you know that he did not just lie and keep the package? I guess I could see that happening though. The post people do seem to be pretty dumb.

Because luckily, the elderly gentleman that he delivered it to brought it to the post office and turned it in. It was sitting at the PO for over two weeks, before they sent it back to me as "undeliverable".
It wasn't until he received it the second time I mailed it, that the blunder was discovered.
