Hi. I sell computer peripherals and software. Once funds are confirmed, the buyer receives a temporary link they can use to download the software. The peripheral portion is, of course, mailed to them.

Should I just put down the value of the peripheral portion of the transaction, or also include the value of the software?

I would say the value shown should be the value of the contents of the package which are passing through customs. If the software is not in the package then it should not be included in the valuation.

Yep. Reddeer has it right. Whatever you are sending in the package -- it if ain't there it shouldn't be counted as collateral!
