I don't think I have seen a comprehensive response on this yet. I have had a quick look at the revised Community Guidelines and cannot see how we are to invite bidders or sellers of auctions that are identified and discussed.

Now that we can no longer access bidders emails, how do we invite them? How do we invite sellers of closed auctions?

Hello mivona

The dilemma was put to AW's Administration when raised a week or so ago and, at this stage, the Moderators have yet to receive final instructions.

We appreciate the problem is for those AW Users who wish to preserve their anonimity. It is obviously not a problem in instances when the User has already had some contact with their Seller/Buyer - they will already have the email address for contact.

At this stage, if someone wishes to identify and discuss a Seller/Bidder they have "stumbled" across, and cannot obtain a contact email address, we would, until advised otherwise by Administration, request that the originator forward their name, address & contact telephone number to [email protected] (as previously required). We would most likely allow the thread to continue provided the third party under discussion is afforded the same respect and consideration that other AW Users and staff are entitled to (regardless of whether the other party actually joins the discussion or not).

Until the Moderation team hears back from Adminstration, that's the best answer I can give. It's not set in concrete - it is a temporary measure decided upon by the Moderation team until a permanent solution is provided by the PTB. When a decision is made, the User Agreement will be amended appropriately.
