Hi everyone - I'm planning on setting up my own website (and planning on complying with all ebay rules <grin>.

Anyway, once I'm done, is it permissible to make a 'test' auction. You know - a test listing just to make sure everything is working properly? I'd cancel it immediately and pay the ebay fees - I'm not worried about that. Or would this be against any ebay rules?

Thanks for any help.

No mention of it in the rules. eBay does it all the time. I've done it. Go for it.

I sent a question to ebay once about it, and as long as it doesn't violate ebay rules, ie telling people to go to a web site to purchase something as an example, they have no problem with it. You may have to keep an eye on it, because some people will bid for the heck of it, but ebay says a seller is allowed to remove bids if that happens.

If you upload the auction using MisterLister, you can preview it, edit it, and test the links without having to pay listing fees and keep cancelling auctions.
