So, I'm looking for vintage widgets that I collect. By vintage I mean from the 1950's.

So the auction title says "20 Year Old Widget!!" and something triggers my brain to think....ah, vintage! I go to look at the picture and it's a widget I bought new in what seems like yesterday! I mean, that was 1981!!!! Was that really 20 years ago? I guess to a twenty year old that seems like something from the ancient past...

I hate it when that happens!

Just happened to me too!

I listed some items for my mother and she told me they were old. "How old?", I ask, "Oh, at least 40years old.",My mother replies.

That's how old I am!!!

Just yesterday I was 17 and graduating from high school. I don't know what happened--according to my license I am 46!

This should make everyone feel young.

I was watching "Collectible Treasures" w/ Sharon Anderson on HGTV tonite and she said that in the world of TOY COLLECTBLES an antique is only 50 years instead of the standard 100 years.

I guess having kids ages EVERYTHING by 50 years!!

Sounds like there's a lot of us 40 somethings here......another 4 - 5 years and maybe WE'LL be antique!

I'm sure we're already vintage. But as Janis Joplin used to say, "the older the grape, the sweeter the wine"!

I still refuse to believe 1981 was 20 years ago!

Wow,

Does that mean I am vintage?

I've been thinking about just this same subject lately and have come up with a solution. I will decided what I want to be when I grow up and not a minute sooner and my adult children will have not a thing to say about it. It did me no good to tell them anything. How does one do that 'neener, neener, neener thing on line? Anyone?

The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out, the worms play Pinochle on your snout...

God I can hardly wait.

bunnicula- put you hands on your hips, and bring your knees in tight... (Hey, I may only be 30, but my soon to be 39 year old brother brought me up right! )
