Just wanted to say...thanks to the new fees and all of the helpful tips, sites, etc., posted here, I'm on my first week of "alternatively created" auctions and it was fun!! I was in panic mode and figured I wouldn't have time to figure it out, but I quickly learned enough html to have a reasonably pleasing layout without a bunch of bells and whistles, my pics are residing in new homes and have been tweaked and load quickly while looking decent, my pages load fairly fast even with a slow 56K modem and I'm much less reliant on anything but myself and best of all at the moment - all my items have bids ! Although I scheduled a couple at inconvenient times in error - it's gone pretty smoothly over all and I'm still experimenting and having fun with it! So - thanks AW for the kick in the butt, and thanks AWers for the terrific help and assistance!

I didn't think I could do it, but I'm making better looking auctions, getting more bids, and not having any of the zillions of problems associated with using AW. Thanks!

Ditto ditto! I've learned so much over the past few weeks. I always joked that I'd love to be a professional student, so this has been fun for me. To my amazement, doing it myself is faster!
Best of all, I'm leaving for vacation in about ten days...the last of my self-generated auctions closed tonight. 12 items sold out of 15 listed--woo hoo! Good prices, too. The amount of money I saved by not using a fee service will pay for quite a few drinks with paper umbrellas stuck in them.
Just to let you know that I have my spending priorities straight, I would've bought the drinks regardless
