My Ebay ID is my email address...bad idea for many reasons, but the one that concerns me most is that my mail service is down constantly!
I use mail.com (not with this name) and have had many problems on and off since December.
Everything seems okay, and I can send mail fine (at least it tells me it was sent) but I don't receive mail for DAYS!
Got a Paypal confirming email today from the 20th!
Obviously this is not good! The only reason I hesitate to change my ID is those darn, stupid sunglasses!
So I guess I have two questions...does anyone use mail.com and have you been experiencing problems? And are the sunglasses a real drawback? I have over 400 PFB, and I don't want bidders to think I'm trying to pull some kind of scam by changing my id.

I changed my id when I had more than 400 feedback and did not notice anything unusual during my 30 days.

I don't know about mail.com, but with the "new" email thing at Ebay, seems like now is a great time to change! Lots of people are doing it for that very reason and your feedback (which will follow you) speaks for itself! I don't think you have anything to worry about and if it bothers you ALOT add something to your description (if selling) that you've changed to comply with Ebay's preferred methods of correspondence or (if buying)in your emails to the sellers.
