I had an auction close about a week ago and the buyer requested a Billpoint invoice which I sent right away. After several days when it remained unpaid I sent it again and she contacted me and said she had lost her credit card and was waiting for her new one and could she pay by electronic check instead.

I cancelled the one invoice and sent one for an electronic check and Billpoint sent an e-mail warning not to ship until payment cleared.

Now the buyer has contacted me that she set up the account wrong and to resend her the invoice for the electronic check. There seems to be no way I can cancel the last invoice now and if I try to send another it just takes me back to the pending one.

I may be getting the run around here but I usually always get paid no matter how many excuses my bidders start out with. Has anyone ever been able to cancel an electronic payment invoice and start over?

If Billpoint already sent you the "Don't ship till it clears" email then that means she has already paid the invoice, and it is now pending and awaiting clearance with Billpoint. Maybe your buyer thinks her check will bounce, so she wants to pay again, with a different method?

Either way, I don't think you can cancel a pending e-check, but I could be wrong.

Shaani ..... I believe Julesy is correct.
Once a Billpoint invoice has been paid by the buyer, you cannot cancel it.

This might help.

Thanks! I guess it will just sit there until she puts enough money in the account for the check to clear and I don't ship her goodies. I told her to e-mail Billpoint herself if she has given them the wrong info.

Usually everyone does pay. One of my last Billpoint customers paid for two items and then dropped out of sight on the other two. I finally sent an NPBA and then filed for my fees and she paid through Billpoint right away. She said she had been in the hospital for two weeks and had to go back next week again. Meantime she bid on over 200 items while she was in there. Now I see she is up to over 300 so I guess she will be going back in for sure.
