I got a letter in the mail today containing a $10 bill and the following note:

"I participated in an auction over a year ago and never sent you a payment. Please forgive me for not sending this to you."

The letter was signed, but there was no return address or any other info.

Cool! Sounds like someone is making good on things they feel guilty about, clearing their conscience.

Imagine if you were to recieve a negative feedback comment because you were unable to ship the goods! All from a bidder that didn't provide his/her addresss or any other pertinant information and provided paymetn one year later.

It would definately win some sort of award...

Sounds like maybe the person is in a 12 step program. One step is to make restitution to all of those you have harmed. JMHO

Look at the postmark and do a phonebook search on the name. But maybe they don't want to be found if this is one of many small things they are clearing up, and it would just be a kindness to let it go.
