I've never bid on a Dutch auction before, and I'd like to know something before I bid. Here's the scenario:
7 widgets are up for sale. Current price is $2.00 each and the high bidder wants all seven of them. If I put in a bid of $10.00 each for all 7 and no one else bids, do I pay $10.00 each or do I pay the bid increment over $2.00 each (the next highest bid). I need to know this because I won't be home when the auction ends, and I REALLY want these items (am I right in thinking that esnipe doesn't work with Dutch auctions?).
I very much appreciate your help!!!

That is correct, $10.00 each. That ONLY happens when you bid for an entire quantity. If you bid for 6 at $10.00 each, then it just goes up to the next bid increment.

Thank you kidsfeet!!! I never would have thought of bidding on only 6! That's why I love this message center--so many helpful and knowledgeable people out there.
