Used BIN for auction 4/1
Paid within 15 Minutes via PayPal
Rec'd item 4/4 am
Rec'd WBN from PayPal 4/4 pm

My husband thought I hadn't paid, and paid AGAIN.

Seller was very nice and sent it back, BUT They were unaware of the WBN's going out.

I thought they fixed it?

Hi,

The WBN feature is an opt-in feature for users. I would have the Seller check to make sure that they have it turned off in their account profile.

If they are still having issues ,and it is turned off, they are more than welcome to contact me and I will have engineering check it.

Hi Damon !

I had a related problem. I went in, turned off the WBN last week. I posted auctions on Sunday at Ebay then went to Paypal to add the logos (because for some reason the auto-logo thing didn't add them) , I chose to have them automatically added to my active auctions, then got an email that I was also enrolled in the auto WBN. I also thought this was an opt "in" system, not an opt "out" everytime you add logos to your auctions.

Will this be an automatic "Pain in the Duppa" everytime logos are added?

Thanks,

P.S. Yes, I emailed service about it Monday morning but haven't gotten and answer yet.

Hi muttsburg,

Thanks for the post.

Can you please check and make sure that this feature is not on in your account profile (if you don't want to use it)?

Let me know the outcome.

Hi Damon !

I just went and checked. It says "You do not have Winning Bidder Notification activated"

But, that's what it said when I turned it off the first time (last week). After I found out that you guys were starting to do th WBNs I checked and it was already on, so I turned it off.

Then I posted auctions Sunday at Ebay. Monday I checked my auctions and the auto logo thingy hadn't added the logos yet so I went to your site and had them added. A short time later I got an email thanking me for signing up for the auto WBN.

I went back to the site, shut it off again and emailed service questioning them about whether I would have to do this everytime I have logos added to my auctions.

I don't mind having to go to the site to add the logos after I've posted my auctions. What I DON'T want is to have to go back there everytime to shut off something I don't want. It would be my dumb luck to forget to go back there to shut it off, have your WBN go out to my bidders, and cause me more problems.

It is just not a feasable service for my auctions since I regularly have multiple winners combining shipping charges.

Thanks for your time

P.S While I have you on the phone, I have a buyer in Sweden that insists Paypal charges $5.00 for international transactions. I can't find anything about a $5.00 charge on the website. Is he missing something or am I ?

Thanks

Hi,

I am not sure where the user would be getting information that it costs 5.00. They may want to review the issue in the international help center, but they are not going to be charged making a payment.

Thanks for the heads up muttsburg. I wondered why the logos were't appearing in my auctions also. I too turned off the WBN last week when I saw it was activated , and my logos haven't come back either.

I think I'll leave them off too; as I went to pay for an auction I won , and clicked the logo under her auction. Very convenient , with lots of the information already filled in , but shipping costs not included . That would take another PP transaction , which negates the initial convenience, or the seller would have to ask for shipping separately?
I believe I read about this in an earlier thread; so I'd rather just mention in my listing that I accept PP and not worry about WBNor the incomplete total.

Edited for wrong BN's

Thanks Damon, I passed on the information to my buyer.

Hi uglimouse ! Just trying to keep it simple. I will be interested to see if it works the same way when I post auctions this Sunday. If the same thing happens, either it won't put the auto-logos in, or if I have to do them myself and it automatically tried to turn on the WBN then I will drop the logos all together. Like I've said "sometimes more is NOT better and convenience is not always easier."
