I only have 3 on my list. I shut down and rebooted and they were all there except in a different order than what I put them in.

reddeer: I have not yet tried it myself, and please don't take this the wrong way, but
What Did You Expect ?
Give it a couple more weeks, and don't forget that eBay is a leading edge web site, and probably the only site that uses trained monkeys, chipmunks, and Brittany Spears mother to write code.

Yes, really. I had to update my entire list before I ran the test bid. I use historykill when I shut down, but that shouldn't affect anything on eBay's end?
It also doesn't explain how the bidder got a bid in, when their ID is on my Block list?
I checked my list after their bid came in & sure enough, their user ID is supposed to be blocked.

reddeer- LOL! Yes what DID you expect?
Once I had a bidder who was a real PITA. She never paid me but kept threatening to neg me if I didn't send her item. I emailed her and told her never to bid on my items again and CC'ed a copy to safeharbor. Eventually she realized her mistake and sent me a check, and I sent her her item, and we actually even exchanged positive feedback (mine was a bit grudging I do admit.) Well, after that she bid on my items AGAIN! AND AGAIN! After a few transactions with her I have come to the conclusion that she is a sweet but sort of absentminded elderly lady. And now she's a regular customer. Moral of the story: think carefully before blacklisting. LOL!

Reddeer: Maybe the fact that they haven't announced its existence is an indication of it not being ready for prime time yet.

I wasn't even aware eBay had one! Yahoo has one and it works just fine - you’d think eBay could at least accomplish what Yahoo can do, and has had for a LONG time.
Regarding blocking certain bidders, it is a matter of some folks are not worth the trouble and time it takes to deal with them, even if they pay.
I have refused to sell to a couple of customers who have attempted to buy from our web site because it was obvious they would be a PITA - endless questions - endless e-mails - just more trouble and time than the sale is worth. I just politely tell them that I don't believe they would be satisfied and suggest nicely they shop elsewhere.

Does anyone remember a classic short story called "The Monkey Paw"? A magical monkey's paw could be used to make wishes but the the wish came true but at a price. The father made a wish for money, the next day his son was killed and he got the money from the insurance.
I don't know why that short story just came to my mind.
It isn't a question of if a new eBay feature will include bugs, but what will the bugs be.

The bidder block appears to be working as far as keeping the blocked bidders listed, as I even changed computers and locations and the blocked individuals are still there. I have not tested it on actual bidding yet...plan to do this by blocking one of my secondary identities and attempting to bid using that identity on my primary identity..
I am happy that ebay has done this, as one of my unwanted bidders gets really upset and sends nasty email to me, if I copy ebay on anything (such as telling them not to bid in my auctions).
my main purpose is to keep them from bidding, not to aggrivate them, and me! I just don't want to deal with certain people, life is too short for the hassle.

Reddeer, In not an expert on cookies and such but when you use historykill doesn't that delete the cookies that ebay would use to recognize you and your info?
Just a thought.
