I'm trying to find an easy way to list an auction in ebay. I prepare the auction using Netscape Composer. Then I "publish" the finished auction to my webspace (also where I store my pics.) Is there an easy way where I can just type some sort of link or something into Ebay's description box, and my finished auction will just show up, (like pictures do when you type the url address), or do I have to have to actually transfer (copy and paste) all the code into that description box on ebay (which is what I have been doing in the past)? It would sure be easier if I could just type a line in, and my auction could just show up like a picture. Obviously I don't know a whole lot about HTML and what it can and can't do.

I design websites using composer and as far as I know - you still have to cut and paste unless you go with a service like AuctionWatch or eBay's Mister Lister, but I don't use them, because it's MY business I don't want to rely too heavily on outside services if the need isn't NECESSARY. That is, if it can be done by me. that's just my 2 cents worth anyway.

nancam,

It is against the CG's to post a link to an auction that identifies a seller/buyer, even if the auction is closed. I had to delete your post Sorry.

Sorry Joice . . .

jema - I found an auction that looked like what you were asking about. Picture with description were saved as a .gif and then they used the <img src= . . .
tag to imbed it in the auciton description area.

Probably not explaining this very well, if you want to eMail me [email protected], I'll send you a link to the closed auction.

Bad idea -- if you save your description as a GIF then it will not be searchable.

Good point engelskdansk - the seller had some text in the description just before the .gif was inserted. Probably for that very reason.
