That seems a little shady to me. I don't really understand it either.
The Paypal thing.. hmm.. it doesn't say anywhere that you'd be putting PAYPAL logos on your auctions, but the HTML you'd be putting in your auction would be for a Paypal logo.

I sold a few items to a Japanese bidder a while back and he used this service. I provided the service with his total with shipping and the service sent me a business check for the amount and then I sent the items to the service who then sent them to the Japanese buyer. It all went very smoothly, I would use them again. As for putting a link in my auctions, I hadn't considered that, it's a possibility.

I received a payment through this arrangement last year sometime and it went beautifully. I, too, would be glad to work with this company again.

~Not much info on their page. Another middleman wanting a slice of the pie. Interesting idea though~I think it could work. They sure started in the right place (Yen and Dollars-o-plenty) and could expand to include the world.
I use to have problems communicating with my Japanese buyers but now just keep the E-mails stripped: HI, shipping, total, address, thank you. No more problems.
As far as holding our stuff until the buyer gets a barrel full to save on shipping~ NO WAY! Some of my overseas buyers outbid everyone and win multiple auctions to save on the expensive shipping costs. Not only making my wallet thicker but cutting packing time, post office trips, material costs, etc. One beautiful buyer last month won most of my auctions 3 weeks in a row! I LOVE YOU MAN!
I don't think I would use them but I do want that Paypal link.

The Paypal link that they don't TELL you is a Paypal link is reason enough for me to go running in the opposite direction! Anything with the Paypal name in it spells nothing but T-R-O-U-B-L-E to me!

The service worked well for me. A smooth transaction. Slow because of the time difference but none the less - a good customer that PAID. Welcome anytime.
posted on April 28, 2001 02:47:57 PMWe receive merchandises at our warehouse in Torrance, CA and keep them until they request shipping. This way, they can save shipping cost to Japan by shipping all merchandise from multiple sellers together.
No thanks.
We check merchandise when we received them at our warehouse in Torrance, CA. This way, we can deal with problems such as damage and shortage within the US.
No thanks.
Most Japanese have a CC, and for those that don't, or for sellers that don't accept CC's, Postal MO's are very easy to purchase in Japan.

Thanks everyone for your response!
I'm glad some of you had a positive transaction with this company.
If you don't mind me asking; did that company let you know when they received your item? Or did you have to wait until the customer emailed you?
The way it sounds on their web site, they send the item(s) to the customer once they are "finished shopping". So it could take SEVERAL weeks before the transaction is closed. Correct?
Their website does not say much about themselves and even though I am happy to hear others have had good transactions what happens if there is a problem?
ExecutiveGirl: I also think the link on their site "helping you get more Japan sales" is a rather SLY way to get in the PayPal logo! Which is another reason that makes me wonder about the credibility of this company.
Tomwii & reddeer....I know what you mean! I would much rather send the item directly to my customer than go with this service.
I also don't want this company to inspect the merchandise. What happens if they somehow damage (scratch/rip/tear/drop/etc.) the item? Will they own up to it? or will they claim the seller didn't disclose "flaws"?
I don't read Japanese.
Is there anyone out there that can read that site and tell us what it says? Also, what does it say to it's customers concerning the sellers?
