This is what I just sent eBay:
Hello,
> My problem is accelarating.. Item 1132440344
I just read the negative feedback of the non paying buyer. My negative feedback on April 30 was "After initial plans, the buyer hasn't sent the funds or responded to me in 4 days".

Response which I just read yesterday May 3 "Sent 4 payments, apparently not ready yet. Week Later this"

Then May 1, the buyer registered a negative feedback and said "Very unethical. 4 payments sent, all returned. Too nervous for eBay. Stay away."

My response May 3 was "Paypal denied all 4 paymnts. Buyer ignored seller's emails/call. Misunderstanding?"

I take exception to these judgmental comments. They are close to slander or libel and unjustified. It appears that the problem started with a mistake by Paypal or something in their system. If the buyer had responded to my emails or those of eBay or my telephone call, this would be a non issue. His refusal to work is out is his choice.

But I need to take some action against his comments. Bear in mind that I reported to you that the buyer initiated an action to purchase another carpet outside of eBay after the auction closed and my reserve was not met- by him. I accepted his offer. So we both are guilty of fee avoidance if the transaction had taken place. This was my first transaction on eBay and he had been active for quite a while. Somewhere in a group chat I became aware of this fee avoidance and wanted everything above board..

I really prefer positive action- not dwelling on the negative, but this needs to be cleared up. Please Advise."

This shows that communication between buyer and seller can solve potential problems. As this was my first transaction on Ebay, this feedback is not helpful and is not justified. Any suggestions to get this settled would be appreciated. Please do not look for solutions for this person to purchase my item. By the way, your responses really are quite helpful and educational and I wish to say thank you. I started the tread a NEWBIE NEEDS ADVICE a couple of days ago about the NPB.

sorry you had these problems first time out of the ebay gate

perhaps someone else will come along with some ideas, but i can't think of any further action you can take regarding the feedback, other than what you've already done. your responses were reasonable. it's unfortunate paypal rejected the payments 4 times (at least the buyer made the effort to send it 4 times!), and that the buyer didn't respond to your emails or phone call so you two could work it out. i'd say just move on. you did the best you could do.
