I had a USPS employee tell me today that I can't send paperback books at the media mail rate... Is this true? The USPS website states that it is "generally used for books (at least 8 pages)". It doesn't specify what type of books.

Is this guy at the post office just being a pain in the you know what?

You absolutely can send paperback books media mail, and the guy at the post office is being a pain. Ask to speak to his supervisor.

Paperback books can be sent media mail. I do it all the time. I'd definitely be asking to speak to a supervisor.
