I'm wanting to change my ebay username. Its sooo uncreative, but then again, it also keeps people from knowing I'm female until the auction is over. When I used Jenndiggy, everyone knew I was female, and I didn't like that, especially when selling "male" items, such as sports cards. (Although I'm very knowlegable about them, I had some buyers think I was just a "dumb" female.) So, I'm trying to think of a genderless (or male sounding) username that is cool.

Also, any suggestions on how to have people address checks to me that makes it sound as if I am male? I can't think of a male form of Jennifer and it still be made to me ~~ bummer my parents didn't name me Samantha as Mom wanted. I'm single and wanting to take more protection about giving my info out. Getting a P.O. box tommorrow.

Just have them make the checks payable to J. Middle Initial & Your Last Name.

My legal signature is JRBIII, Much easier then Joseph Ralph Barese III, I needed a short sweet one that was different from all the other JBs on the loading dock I used to work at. I have received checks addressed J. Barese, JR Barese Joe, etc etc etc
I Even had one bidder sign the check to JRB3 my Ebay ID

Banks will cash a check as long as it has your last name I've been on Ebay almost 4 years so I was able to get my initials

Use a creative unisex Ebay ID Cards & your zip or Cardseller etc.

Then have checks & letters addressed to first initial last name.

Hope this helps

Choose a business name to be equal to your intended user name. File the ficticious name form with your state's Dept of State as a sole proprietor. This way you can have a bank account exactly the same as your user name.

Be sure to check availability of the name with the state before you go making any changes. It may turn out that the name isn't available and you'd have to start all over again.

Jenn - I too sell sportscards (and lots of other types of things) on eBay. My username is ****girl, and it has absolutely no effect on my sale-prices. The items I sell are easily compared to other sales (boxes of current cards, graded rookie cards, etc., from $50 - $600) and there has been no effect. You may not really need to change your user name.
