ARGH!!!! 3! 3 bidders wimped out on the won auctions in ONE week! and 2 of them are under 10+ feedback and one is a newbie.

I kindly informed them because of this, they are not to bid on any of my future auctions...
probably have to make a note in my description that I will not accept any bidders who had less than 25+

*sighs*
thanks for letting me rant...

Sorry to hear that, I don't know what's up with folks lately. It seems that if you do manage to make a sale, the buyer just decides to "take a pass" on it half the time.

I've had several in the past 3 weeks.

Maybe spring fever?

I've decided to include in my second reminder, the amounts of fees that ebay charges us sellers, the amount of time involved in photographing and writing a listing, and the amount of time wasted between waiting for replies before giving up and filing the FVF. I also politely remind them that while I do not believe in negative feedback, I do file the FVF's as an economic necessity. I then politely tell them that they are placing their bidding priviledges in jeopardy as the NPB's accrue over time and do not go away.

I don't know if this works yet. It hasn't so far, but hey, I feel better for having done it!

I think these newbies don't realize that we are trying to fight to get a profit and paying every inch of the way. I did include a FAQ on my me page about NPB's, why they are not cool, and how to avoid becoming one. (Just pay for the item ya yutz! )

I had a buyer with good feedback email me 4 days after auction end to say she didn't want the item after all, sorry but never mind. She said it was the wrong size (it was a table cover). She was in a hurry (grandson wedding or some such) and didn't realize the size was wrong till it was too late. The kicker is that the size was IN THE TITLE! How could she have missed THAT???
She was looking for 36 inches and this one was 21.5 inches.

Then she emails and says to forget it. When I pointed out I would file for FVF etc. she got annoyed and said I really shouldn't ruin her good record. What's up with that? And of course because of the stupid feedback system I have to be careful or she'll just neg me.

After my explanation by the way, more of the sob story (stroke victime, can't get out, can make things herself, can't play music)- just more piled on. It might all be true, but I don't understand how someone who has been a member for 3 years doesn't know this is not optional, when you win you pay!!!

That was my rant for the day - sorry for being long-winded!

It must be something about the eBay website that is deteriorating the health of all the high bidders......That is the only explanation I can think of for all the "ill" high bidders backing out.

Maybe it's all the new rules and fees that are coming fast and furious. I have had 4 of which 2 were NARU. Unable to leave a feed back for one of them because of that. I am waiting for a response from one now, but I will wait until after this weekend to send a second notice in case they were away.

If, for whatever reason, someone decides they're not going to pay, I'd rather them e-mail me and say so, rather than string me along for 4 or 5 weeks with nothing but excuses.

I can understand that things sometimes happen which might cause a bidder not to be able to pay, but PLEASE don't give me the "check's in the mail" routine when you have no intention of paying to begin with!
