I was a high bidder for an auction that ended at approximately 8:30pm Central Time on Friday, May 25. I wrote to the seller an hour or so after the auction ended. My email read:

Please verify my total $xx.xx + $x.xx = $xx.xx and send
your PayPal information. I will then pay ASAP.

Thanks,
xxxxxxxx

(I also included auction title and number). The seller does accept PayPal (stated in their TOS). They have 248+ feedback with NO negs and only 1 nuetral from 6 months ago. I have yet to hear from them. Tonight will mark 3 days since the auction ended. I sent them a second email this morning, and I still have heard nothing. There was no mention in the auction that the seller would be out of town for the holiday. Any suggestions?

I'll have to double check, but doesn't ebay state that the seller and high bidder should contact each other within 3 days (business days). The auction only ended Friday, and while I usually contact my bidders right after the auction ends and plan for that, not only did your auction end on a Friday afternoon, but also on one of the biggest holiday weekends of summer. I'd cut your seller some slack until tomorrow (the next business day after the auction ended).

I've already had 2 emails from US buyers today (who paid by PayPal Sat), asking if I've mailed their widgets yet and to get them out ASAP. Hello? No mail today! )

BH happens all the time on a Holiday Weekend. Hold on to your ponies and wait till at least Tuesday or Wednesdays some people only get a vaction this time of the year.

He/She/It has until Thursday to contact you-it's 3 business days, not calander days.

I imagine it is a frustrating to a buyer to email a seller as it is when I (a seller) emails my EOA to a buyer and they keep emailing me to ask for info.

After the 4th email to a buyer, my email finally got through to her today. Who knows why. Each time I email a buyer again I use the forwarding so they can see how many times I did try.

Also, is your email address still the same as the one you registered with ebay? A lot of buyers change their address but forget to update ebay. Then the emails that are using the address that is still with ebay will get returned to the seller.

If more time goes by and you still don't get an answer, you can request the info from ebay. Sometimes this will be the prompt a seller needs to see that something is wrong.

Well, I will admit... I wasn't thinking in terms of BUSINESS days. Thanks for pointing that out.

My email address is correct at eBay. I buy and sell regularly, so it is always up-to-date.

When I sell, I always try to contact my high bidders within 24 hours (usually within 4). I don't sell as much (and not as consistently, either) as many others.

Thanks, everyone!
