This question is directed to those of you Ebay bidders out there who use Web TV.

I noticed in the last few weeks that when I go to look at items to possibly bid on...There is No Picture!! There is only a Giant White Blank Box where the Photo should be.

It didn't use to bother me when it would happen infrequently...But it is happening 80-85% of the time now! Is this a problem with Ebay or Web TV? Thank you for any help on this. It is driving me Bonkers!

I would guess WebTV, because I have seen nothing like that with my cable modem.

Broken links don't always have a red X.

I've noticed this problem (images not showing up) in the past with some eBay sellers on AOL. I don't know if it's still the case, but at that time it had something to do with the instructions AOL gave for adding images. (If the seller followed them, the images often didn't show up! I forget what the fix was, but an AOL seller at another board did post it.)

There are several sites for WebTV users which allow us to view images and their sources. At WebScissors or at Beth Candy's site, you can input the url of the auction page and view all the images and their urls.

If the image itself doesn't show up at WebScissors or Beth's, the image url should. Just grab the url, put it in the GoTo box, and go directly to the image.

If all else fails, you could always e-mail the seller and let her/him know that you can't view the images.

Of course, none of this will help if you're trying to get in a bid at the last minute.

Hope this helps.
