I am so ticked off! Last Thursday I bid on and won a Saucy Walker Doll from a Seller with 200+ Positves & 0 Negs. The ad said that she could still walk, the photo shows the doll with glazed over eyes. Mind You they were glazed over, but open.
I get the sellers EOA a few minutes later, it said to pay within 10 days...Okay, no problem. Friday I get a note asking "Are You going To Pay?" (Less than 24 Hours from the win!) I say yes, I will pay via Paypal by Weekends end (as I was waiting on a few payments myself).
Sunday I pay via Paypal. Today I get the doll. She was packed very well, lots of Bubble Wrap, tons of peanuts..beautifully packaged. I open it to discover the doll does NOT walk and I cannot even open the eyes. This could NEVER have happened in shipping. I wrote the seller and said "Thanks for the amazing packing and swift shipping, but doll is not in the condition shown or described".
She tells me that it must have been damaged in shipping, I can take it up with the Post Office.
I don't want a refund, I'll keep the stupid doll, but I know she is being dishonest, and it really bothers me. I have almost 2000 positives, I work my butt of to satisfy customers and honestly describe condition! I get so mad that some sellers can feel good about taking money for something they know is garbage.
I feel like she just wanted my cash (fast, before I changed my mind), and to heck with quality.
This kind of seller makes it so hard for the honest sellers! No wonder so many potential bidders ask questions like "Are you sure it is in great shape, scrath-free, unmarked, new, odorless etc." I thought the bidders were being overly careful, a bit paranoid maybe...Now I understand.
Sorry for the rant, but I am so disapointed about this doll. My last one was stolen, and I really wanted it back. Now I have one, but it is garbage. I can't even sell it for less money, nobody would want it at all.

I don't think you should keep the doll, or at least het a partial refund, another will come along.
Tell the buyer the condition has nothing to do with the post office ---as her packing was so professional that it would have been impossible for the post office to do any damamge whatsoever. The doll does not do what she claimed it did and you want a 50 percent refund to reflect the condition or a total refund.

Hi Kyms, I do not find the reply take it up with the post office to be a satisfactory answer. I would iniate pay pal charge back, and tell her she can take it up with pay pal.
JMHO,

Don't let the seller intimidate you. My advice is to try to work out a return. If the doll is not as advertised and you are not happy with it you will never like it.
Sooner or later you will be able to find another one that is better.

Hi all- I just checked my Email, and there was a refund waiting for me. Either she felt badly, or reads these boards! In any case, I feel much better now! The money was really not the point, but that she had the integrity to do the right thing. I thank you all for your input, and I am so glad this worked out well. -A bit of faith has been restored!

Kym:
Please don't forget to pat yourself on the back, too!
You were the seller's dream come true!
You gave her the opportunity to make it right.
Hats off to both of you!!!
*may your bidders be so kind in return*

I must be a glutton for punishment, I keep coming back for more. I received 3 packages today, one was just as described, one had two sheets of newspaper between two very heavy pieces of pottery and 6" inches of empty space in the box, one piece was shattered. The other box had 12 plates and 12 cups and saucers, they were described, by a seller with 600 feedback, as perfect. They all have tight all over crazing and brown hairlines. I got smart and quit using my seller id to bid, there will be no mercy for these sellers anymore. Heather
