Hi folks! I'm doing some research for a class that I'm teaching and I'd be interested everyone’s opinion. What is your theory about the best time to end an auction? I figure that the best time to end an auction is Sunday night or Monday since the heaviest eBay traffic is likely on the weekend, however I can think of some exceptions to this rule. I'd be interested to hear what you think. Thanks!

It all depends if you want people to snip or not to snip. If you want people to snip the best time is Sunday night after 9 PM Eastern Standard Time. If you don't want people to snip the best time is 4 am Sunday morning. I have had great luck at both times.

Hi

I start my auctions either on Sunday to end on Wednesday or start them on Thrusday to end on Sunday.

The time that I normally use is start of 7 p.m. Pacific time (10 p.m. Eastern) so that it ends the same time. I believe this time is good as it allows folks to come home from work or the weekend and be on their computers.

Hope this helps.

JJ
