And today's What-Was-E-Bay-Management Thinking........

1) I thought I "declined" E-Bay's spam of recommendation but appearantly I didn't on this item.

2) "This item" was a very beautiful black evening gown by Elisabeth (Liz Clairborne's line for us big & curvy gals)

3) I of course lost and a day later received E-Bay Spam indicating that I could bid on other dresses in size 2s, 4s, & 6s (I think I was in kindergarbarge last time I was that small).

4) My style choices? (wording *slightly* changed to avoid IDing the auctions)
- A House Coat/Dress
- Dress Perfect for Bondage
- Dress Perfect for Fetish
- 1980s Prom Gown
- Musty Smelling Wedding Gown
- And the list went on

Gee, where to begin bidding
Perhaps if I wore size 2 and pranced around in the other garments I could snare myself a man and save my pennies for the musty smelling wedding gown....

Did I mention that while I'm fairly loosey goosey about what other people do I am at heart a pretty straight laced, God fearing, Cuban (dad)-Irish-Welsh-Scotch-French (mom) gal from the midwest.... While it's funny in a really really warped way it would be really sad if let's say my more up tight person would have gotten it (like my father trying to do something nice for me or mom)

OY!!!!

Remember that thread about 6 months ago where someone was talking about clothing sellers who use the word stunning to describe a rag but it's okay because they were just probably trying to describe the viewer's reaction and not the garment?

Hope that didn't confuse anyone - Just thought I'd share after this long day from #@%*

Of course ebay recommends bondage items. They're putting the screws to all of us so they want us to get used to it.

I lost in bidding for Protest Art.

Got, among other things, a paper doll of Frank Sinatra and a 60's orange ashtray.

Will trade for bondage clothing depending on size.

Since when did eBay's management start to think?

They obvious think you would like a moldy wedding dress - which just about sums up where they are coming from these days with this wonderful spam they are sending out.

I dunno...I know of a few BBD (Big, Beautiful Dommes) in Europe (One was my former Math Teacher in High School) who can weild a mean bullwhip.

Maybe eBay was telling you to change lifestyles and jobs?? You can make some serious money pushing men around!!

If the fetish gear is rubber, you can sweat off those extra pounds

I would like to bid $6.87 on the Frank Sinatra paper dolls. I have some wonderful Barbie doll clothes I would love to see Frank in.

Let's see - there's the frilly pink gutchies, the purple with lotsa ruffles and lace top, and ... should I use the green mini skirt or perhaps the long coulottes that are orange with navy blue polka dots?

Now, should I put him in high heels or sensible loafers?

Goldensands, you may have the ashtray. I think it belongs with the dutchies in the other thread anyway

Never mind.

I lost another "Protest Art" auction and this time I was reffered to - Amazing.. Blk Lace Bra & Thong Set.

I don't need any of you to barter with anymore.

Goodbye.

Thanks for the laughs today - I need 'em!

I bid on an item because it was Atlanta-related, and got these recommendations:

Pilot's Powerplant Manual

Danish Cookbook, 1940

Biography of Queen Victoria

(NONE of which have ANY relationship to what I bid on, or to each other, that I can see.)

a note at the end of the SPAM admitted they could not find any close matches to what I bid on - DUH!

Well, I guess we can all stop worrying about competitors in our catigories getting our business from us then.
Just a thought...

Hey I want that orange ashtray...

Someone better start mass producing them so all of the AW'ers don't have to fight over one measly little ashtray.

"Vintage Retro Art Deco LOOK Ashtray?"

LOL at all of the ebay SPAM and just had to add something even if it doesn't do anything for the thread.

Oh I have a good one! I have been bidding on materintiy clothes lately. I thought I always declined the recommendation email, but this one may have gotten through.

I then received an email from eBay recommending all sorts of maternity clothes, not in my size and...

A bank. It was a guy and when you put coins in the belly would grow! My jaw dropped! What a thing to recommend to a pregnant woman! (luckily I have a slight sense of humor.)
