I had a customer buy three items, two processed fine, the other one showed up as a ended listing with no sale on My E-Bay sellers list, but when I when to the store listings it was still listed for sale.I would not have known the guy bought it except he payed for it along with the others.

Someone purchased an item from our store and requested an invoice through Billpoint. The item does not show up that it is sold and it is still in the listings.
We e-mailed back and forth with ebay for 3 days and they claim that the customer does not know how to do a Buy it Now. He says he has purchased other items that way and is doing everything right. He tried it 3 times and it still doesn't work.
Can he request a Billpoint invoice without the item being sold? I was wondering if I should cancel the listing and just have him pay the invoice?

I would cancel the listing and have him pay the invoice. I wonder if E-bay is going to fix the glitchs with the stores and Billpoint.

He was able to request an invoice through Billpoint with the # but I couldn't process it because it said that the auction must be ended and have a bid.
Ebay suggested I show him the BIN tutorial and then I guess they also showed him how. But it still doesn't work. So I have just cancelled it, relisted it and I have given him a link to the new listing.
By now he may no longer be interested. I was nice and said it was an ebay glitch but by sending him the tutorial link was like insulting his intelligence I think.

I relisted the item and my bidder purchased the item again with a BIN after I relisted it. He clicked on the link to request a Billpoint invoice and I got notification from Billpoint. But when I go to process it I get the same message that "The auction must be ended and have at least one bid".
I checked and the listing is still running. I checked and he has purchased items with BIN before this so yes, he does know how it works. This is strange. And ebay says there is no problem?

There is an important point to be made about these ebay store problems.
I haven't opened a store yet for the simple reason that ebay's poor response to reported problems has been pathetic, unprofessional and simply slow.
It is bad enough to have glitches without compounding the time wasted with denial, rationalizations and just plain stupidity.
Most of the problems could have been avoided by in-house pretesting by people who knew what they were doing. I mean, you make a sale and it doesn't show up? How basic is that, eBay?

Just a suggestion, since ebay is doing nothing to help you with your buyer. How about just sending the user a BillPoint invoice using the General Invoice tab in BillPoint? You don't have to use an item #, you can make it say whatever you want, at least then the buyer could pay and you could just end the listing in your store.

Hi spottydoggy,
I just remembered I could do that before I read your post. Thanks!
Each time I contact ebay with the same case# I get a different rep and each time they say it is working fine, no problems, etc. It must be the bidder doing it wrong, etc.
It would be weird if items are selling and the buyers are waiting for me to contact them and I don't know anything about it because the items don't show up as sold.

I had made a mistake with the text of an item I had listed in a store and tried to edit it. Ebay wouldn't let me edit it, saying I wasn't the seller of the auction even though I was signed in and I am the seller. It wouldn't let me close the item, again saying I wasn't the seller. I had to close my store and reopen one and relist every item because it wouldn't work right. A few times it wouldn't let me list an item, kept saying I wasn't the seller. It let me list some items then not others.
I haven't had anyone buy anything yet, although I have had emails from potential buyers saying that when they tried to it gave error message saying that they must place a bid first. It doesn't have a place to place a bid because it's a storefront, buy it now item.

I opened a store initially but just closed it yesterday because I was tired of the constant errors I was getting if I tried to edit or change anything.
For a few days it kept telling me I had to sign in to do certain tasks so I would sign in again and then the site would say 'you're already signed in' and I just kept going round and round with it! It was like a ride they won't let you off of!
I really don't think there is anything that spectacular about the whole thing anyways. Those who have gotten sales from their stores, kudos to you, I think I'm going to wait and see what happens in the next couple of months before I delve in again.

The same thing happens to me when I try to edit. I have to sign out and then sign in again under the same ID because it doesn't recognize me the first time.
I'm going to be much too busy in the next few months with my real store so I thought I would just leave some items sitting in the storefront over the summer to see how it works.
If I was running regular auctions steady I would nuke the storefront for sure if this is all it is.

may be the reason some of our stores have no sales is because no one told us!!
i have only one sale so far and i am hoping sales will pick up when it comes closer to xmas,
last xmas there were a lot of buy it now,so this year, with multiple quantity on hand,we dont have to relist like crazy, especially new items take longer time these days to show up in a search.
so for those who think long term, hang in there,it will be free till sept 1.
then if folks starting xmas shopping in late october,we will pay october, november and december for xmas and may be close it afterwards

I can't sign in to edit my storefront at all this evening. Just go around in circles, says I have to sign out, sign in, sign out, and I get nowhere. Stupid system!! GRRRR
