Is it possible to add the shipping cost for BillPoint to auctions using Vrane?

I have had a number of winning bidders pay me recently without adding the shipping amount that is clearly listed in the auction body. They told me that the shipping amount doesnt show up when they choose to pay with BillPoint, and that BillPoint will not allow them to add it.

Does anyone know what to do?

Hi Candi. The problem you currently have sounds exactly like something I dealt with about a month ago. Are you using Mr Lister, as I was when I had this recurring problem? In the Mr Lister program, there's a white scrolling section in the middle bottom area indicating what type of payments you'll accept in your auction. If you scroll down in that same white box, you'll see the words Billpoint Payments. If you double click on the Billpoint Payments option, you'll see the spot where you can specify shipping for this item. Without it, the buyer can't use Billpoint and pay the correct amount, since they can't manually add shipping. Also, the Billpoint system itself has no way to know what your intended shipping charge is for the item.

Candi, if this sounds like your situation, all you need to do is to put your desired shipping amount in the Mr Lister box described above for your future items. Then when your buyers pay via Billpoint, they will automatically have to pay the shipping amount you requested. Meanwhile for the auctions you have that are already set, you may want to ask bidders to send you the missing shipping portion via regular US mail, or even
Paypal (subject to fees). Because if I recall correctly, I could not send a Billpoint invoice for any item whatsoever that had already been partly paid via Billpoint. Billpoint is set up to accept 1 transaction per ebay item, and 1 transaction only.

Hope this advice applies to you, and helps you out. Good luck!

Jack

Your shipping charges are not showing up on the invoice because at the time of listing the auction you didn't enter the shipping in the instant pay field.

You can send the customer a second invoice for the shipping only. Just go into my ebay, click on accounts then billpoint account. Go to the side menu and click on invoice/general. Put the shipping amount in the spot for price (top field) leave the shipping and tax fields blank, enter the customer's email address and then send.

I have done this several times with invoices from a listing batch that I forgot to enter the shipping for the instant pay.
