Hi i have a pair of girls shoes that look like patent leather and they have a strong mothball smell. I have tried dryer sheets and they didn't help. Does anyone know of other ways to get this smell out. ANy help would be appreciated.

It disipates with time... Try a damp cloth to clean all surfaces of the shoes, and then just let them air outside for a few days. Personally I love the smell of mothballs, but it does go away....
You could also try shoe polish if they are leather shoes, the polish might mask the smell a bit.

I have been hooked on KittyLitter since reading about it in a thread here some time ago. The trick is to use enough of the stuff to completely cover the smelly object and leave in an airtight container for about a week. The cost of the litter makes no difference, the cheaper the better. An added bonus; you can still use it for the cat.
