As most of you know, I mainly sell clothing on ebay. I've come across many different things in the pockets of clothing.
I've found:
Gum
Candy
Photos
Business Cards
Movie ticket stubs
Change
Dollar bills
Kleenex
What have you found in the pockets? Anything interesting?

I found $6.00 in the pocket of a dress once, it just happened that is what I paid for it... so I basically got a free dress. Forgot what it sold for though.
Other than that, the usual... business cards, candy/gum wrappers, ticket stubs, kleenix, etc.
I did find $5.00 in the pocket of something I bought for myself once. It was about the same time I found the money in the dress pocket, and at about that same time I found money in a book I bought. That was a profitable time for me.

The best thing was a $10 bill in a pair of Gap shorts that I bought for my teen daughter for 50 cents!

I have yet to find a thing except a smashed tissue!
With a thrift store purchase I find absolutely nothing.

Hi EG, so nice to see you. Hope you are having a great summer. with the exception of lint, about a year a go, I found this real neat denim stones Jacket (tongue etal) When I got home and started to photo it, I felt this big bulky wad That had worked its way to the side bottom of the jacket. After much manipulation I found a tremondous amount of Kleenex tissue. Not a disapointment the jacket sold well, real well!

I just find Inspector 12 white slips of paper!(LOL)
I sell new clothing.
Auctions are all about 2 people wanting 1 item. The trick is having it listed when the 2 bidders are looking.

Hi!
I found $27 in a pair of jeans once.
I got so confused, I put the money back in the pocket, as if it was something I wasn't supposed to touch!
Then I said wait a minute...that's my money now!

Aside from the usual, I found $2.00 in a pair of jeans and a gold chain in a jacket.
Also in a purse I found an old Hamms Beer Twins baseball schedule from the '60's, sold it for $10.00.

I love winter.
I pull out all my winter clothes from storage, go through the pockets, and buy myself lunch with the profits! LOL! Not to mention that I'm stocked up with chapstick for another season!

When I was 15, I worked in an Upolstery shop "Stripping Furniture". I found Microphones hidden in couches, LOTS of money, jewlery, pocket knives, used bubble gum, and just about anything you could imagine.

When I was a kid, I put my pretty patent leather Easter purse away with a dyed egg inside it. My mother noticed one day that my closet smelled bad. She couldn't figure out where it was coming from until she picked up the purse and realized there was something inside. ewwwwwwww!

A jewelry box from a store which contained a 14 kt. gold necklace with eagle medalion, a birthstone pendant, and a cheerleader charm. I bought a bag of clothes from a bag sale. I found the above items in the bag when I returned home, so I assume that the jewelry fell out of one of the pockets.

Going thru some of my Uncles Old Army Jackets once, I found several shell casings from a M3 "Grease Gun," and $15 in MPC Money.
Still keep these momentos with the jacket.

I bought a used bureau at a tent sale. It had three large drawers & two very small ones by the mirror on top. About a year later I decided to remove the pull handles & polish them. While the drawers were out I dusted the inside, & while dusting where one of the small drawers was I noticed something stuck in there. It was a diamond & sapphire ring. A jeweler told me it was a very high quality sapphire & an outstanding shade of blue.
I gave it to my sister because a sapphire is her birthstone.

I have been lucky twice. At an estate sale while looking through the clothes I felt a flat object and when I took it out 10 $20.00 bills. At another sale I bought a book and it was the same thing 10 $20.00 bills. I think when older people got money instead of banking it they put it away for just in case.
My mother-in-law passed away and we had to clear out her things from her apartment, they gave us a whole 5 days. There we found money hid in many different places. Great thread.

I bought a large lot of vintage G.I. Joes from a fellow a few years ago via my "wanted to buy ad". He was in another state and sent the items to me. I got the usual "the toys are perfect, grandpa & grandma got them for me I didn't play with them yadda yadda story" but when they arrived they were perfect and the dolls still boxed. In the action sailor box was an envelope w/3 crisp 1960's issue one dollar bills and a note wishing the owner a merry Christmas from grandpa. I called the fellow back and told him about it and offered to send the money back to him. He told me no and thanks for telling him. I know I would have loved to have had something like that from my grands. Anyway I sold the doll and never took the money out of the box for fear of getting hit my lightning or something.

all of this reminded me of one I forgot. I picked up a leather jacket at a garage sale and found one of those little bottles of booze that you get on airplanes (or so I've been told). It was still full.

What a funny thread. I bought some old whiskey jugs at a garage sale. Found a bunch of pot stuffed in one of them. I was tempted to go give it back to the guy...lol.
A friend of mine bought an old Hoosier cabinet and found $1300 stuffed in a little spice jar. Must have been Grandmas "pin money"
I have found neat things pressed in books too. Money, old valentines, flowers, 4 leaf clovers...
