Good morning everyone,
I found a box of greeting cards at the end of a yardsale for $1.00. When I got home, there were over 1000 of them (and only 3 were damaged, can you believe it?).
Anyway, I'd like to sell them in lots of 12 or 15. Problem is, there's only about 50 envelopes with them. I need 5x7, and the place where I usually get stuff like this only has 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 which would look really tacky with the cards.
Anyone know where I can find these for a reasonable price?

Sadie,
I have never done this myself, but have heard of people getting extra card sized envelopes directly from stores for free. Talk to the manager and ask what they do with the extra card envelopes. I heard something about how they toss out extras, so that might be worth a shot. Even better if you can find someone stocking the envelopes/cards in a store since they would know.
Good luck-- can't hurt to ask anyway. :0)

I used to work at a college bookstore, and we would give away tons of greeting card envelopes for free. Check with a college near you. A woman would come in and take home a huge stack every couple of weeks.

We printed our own wedding invitations, and bought envelopes for them at either Staples or Office Depot -- can't remember now which one. I think it was about five bucks for a box of a hundred envelopes.
I probably still have the rest of them around here somewhere, now that I think about it...
