I just had a newbie accidently place an opening bid instead of using the bin which he intended. Is there anyway that I can get the bin restored?? I suggested that he retract the bid, would that do it?

You can cancel his bid then cancel the auction and restart it. Then he can use the buy it now.

Or, you can cancel the auction and just sell it to him. However, ebay would call this way fee avoidance.

All you have to do is cancel his bid, and the BUY NOW feature is back on the auction. He can then buy the item through BUY NOW.

EG is right -- I cancelled a couple of bids (from proven deadbeats) in a BIN auction awhile back, and the BIN came right back. Cool.
