I think alot of the people on this board are just using their regular printer and printing on avery labels or the blue arrow labels. I looked at the printer you are referring to as well, and it's just too much money right now, but maybe later when sales increase I can justify it.

I use the 330's immediate predecessor (Labelwriter EL60) and it is like a dream come true. It prints the label in about 3 seconds. And of course, there is no hand feeding, no waiting on the printer to warm up, no ink tanks to change, etc.
I send out 300+ first class packages a month, all of varying weights, and it has paid for itself many times over in time saved. If you are doing smaller volume, it might be harder to justify the investment.
Note - You can get the unit for lower than endicia's price, it's only $183 on buy.com. But their deal where you get the printer and 1 yr of endicia for $264 is a great price.

There are various labels you can get depending on what you want to do. See dymo.com. I use the Dymo 30384 Internet Postage labels which is about $10.00 for 150 sets of labels, that's about 6.6¢ per label. I have never seen the labels in stores but you can get them very easily from buy.com or amazon.com.
