I would like to hear from sellers using the BIN feature. Do you like it? How often is it chosen over an opening bid? How do you set your bye it now prices? Does it disrupt your work flow (all my auctions end on the same day of the week, allowing for some routine in my days) I am interested in hearing from antique sellers. Your comments would be appreciated

i use it for most auctions but would say it is selected only 25% of the time by bidders for the items i sell. when i set prices i always use a reserve so that the BIN option has the longest chance to stay an option, not just disappearing after the first bid, cost a bit more but ya get that reserve back if it sells.

I have been useing BIN on all my auctions since after Xmas last year I would say 95% end with the buy it now price I get paid faster on most and item shipped and to the buyer faster Buyer seem to love it.
some Item I have listed get buyers within 2 hours of listing and shipped before the end of the same day...
Then again for some people ,purchaseing the inventory, listing it selling it and shipping it in the same day might get in there way I dont know..

I use it on all my auctions. People use it about 1/3 to 1/2 the time and I get $5 more each time (on an item $100-150) and then list another one. It keeps things moving faster. I tried Dutch and that was a waste of money.

That's what they all say......
Don't you think that eBay is using the drug pushers marketing scheme, wouldn't you say they are going to start charging say:
right before Christmas?
This is also why I'm asking, and I realize by the response that this is a feature one could begin to depend on. I am sure there is a
significant percentage of buyers for whom the cheap thrill of waiting, sniping etc. has worn off and they just want the darn thing,
That accepted I must assume I am losing impulse buyers a percentage of the time.
Although BIN probably deters many off eBay sales, so perhaps they will continue to make it a free option.

I use BIN on items that I have a lot of, I put one at a time up with say 9.95 open and 9.96 BIN they sell in a day or so every thime and as soon as they do I list another one.
But if ebay charged for BIN I would not use it I would just use a regular three day auction on each one, listing one a day - I would get the same result. As long as you are not greedy or impatient there is no reason to pay for BIN and thus lose another bite of your small profit.
