I need to revise some listings and keep getting this most hated message. There is nothing wrong with my computer or browser! It's like they are talking down to us.
Input Error
One of the parameters received was invalid for this function. This probably means that your browser had problems with the form or you invoked the function incorrectly. Please go back and try again. If you're using an old bookmark, you may need to rebookmark it due to recent changes to protect your privacy. We are aware of the problem and are working tirelessly to resolve it as quickly as possible.

I'm getting the same message over & over. I finally went back to my auction page & clicked on the winning bidders name again, guess what, their email address came up. Go figure.
I'm on AOL, could that be the reason.

I'm not on AOL so that is not the reason!

Since I have computer set to delete unwanted cookies (which may or may not be related), got around same message by using secure connection at log-in. Worked for me.

After 1/2 hour reading thread titles looking for people with the same problem!
(Sometimes it would help if the original poster would give more of a hint..)
I tried numerous times this evening, through ebay, to revise an auction I'd relisted today through AW this afternoon.
I started a thread in Auction Manager, message board, about "Input Error" . No replies, as yet.
Must be an ebay problem, from what I gather here.

I have been getting this same message when I log into "My Ebay" and type in my user password.....have had to retype the password several times before it will accept it.......I say it's an ebay problem...

I had a similiar problem when I got a new user ID. I listed an auction from AW and it wouldn't go. So I wrote Auctionwatch and they told me it was an ebay problem. I wrote ebay and they said it was an AW problem. That went on for about 1 week. I gave up...

If you're listing directly to the ebay site, USE NETSCAPE!
Just use it, and you'll see why I suggest it.

When you go to revise an ebay auction, after clicking on revise , fill in your changes but wait approx 4 to 5 minutes to submit and usually will work
Happened to me many times and i read this somewhere, it works !! But a pain for sure
Also I am having same problem when going to my ebay to log in... sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't !

It's happening on searches and auction views as well, which would explain my lousy close yesterday and my page counters being off over 30% compared to other Sundays.
eBay fees are like slowly being pecked to death by chickens.

wranglers:eBay fees are like slowly being pecked to death by chickens.
Absolutely perfect analogy !!
Ditto also your remarks re: sales and counter hits. A sh*#Ty week indeed with items that I've sold consistently up until now.

Computer messages are one of the reasons why normal intelligent people hate computers. You sit there for several hours doing a really important project and get an idiot error message saying the program has crashed. All your work is down the toilet and in the center of the message box is a single button that says "OK". You could strangle the programmer to death with your bare hands, but the most you can do is click "OK". Can't they at least have a sense of humor and replace the OK with "I'm toast" or somerthing other than forcing you to cower and click OK when it's not?
"Input error" is the computer creation of a programmer who is too lazy to create an error handling loop that gives you half a chance to figure out what really went wrong and maybe even save your work before the thing bombs altogether.
