....we decided that it was a good time to update our old computer to something a bit more efficient. The old P2 350 is tiring a bit running near its limit.
Out came the PP debit card (thanks ebay for the funds) and home came a new 1.5 P4 HP with all the goodies. What the heck, a new digital camera and photo printer came along for the ride also.
(boys & toys, ya know)
Really neat was the fact Windows XP was already installed on the thing.
(because the 17 year old computer salesboy know-it-all said anything that works with W98 will work fine with XP)
Oops.
Seems as if XP isn't even due out for another 12 days or so. That means no drivers for support are available yet either!
So, for the next ?? days we have a great new system sitting here waiting for driver support and new software for Ameritechs DSL service!
So I figure about the time ebay picks up again the support will be available and I won't have the time to swap systems until sometime in 2002...........
...but, in the mean time, I can play solitare really fast!
I did succeed in lowering my PP account to under $100.00 though....
