A buyer was high bidder on one of my September 16 auctions. I never received a response from him despite several emails to "JIM" (not his real name). Today, I requested "JIM's" phone
number through member info contact.

However, when I dialed the phone number (2 times) I reached a beauty salon where they never heard of "JIM".
I am noticing that there is an icon next to "JIM" ebay ID feedback number indicating that his information has been verified by ID VERIFY.
I find this this be appalling! Apparently this is not the correct information for "JIM", yet ebay members are led to believe that it is correct. It seems as if ID VERIFY takes money but doesn't do their job.

Anyone else experience this if ID VERIFY?

No, but then I would not waste this much time on a deadbeat.

If I do not hear back from a bidder, I do not waste my money by making phone calls.

Best to just file for your fees, relist.
Never felt it was my job to have to hunt anybody down.

Let ebay know that this is false contact info and they will boot this deadbeat.
