What is going on AW - another stupid pop=up thing appeared 5 times in about 1 minute - a comparison shipping thing - please get rid of it!!!!!

I get 2 pop ups everytime I click on a thread, post a message, or switch forums. I've gotten several in past few minutes.

It's a problem that is being addressed. Close your browser and come back to AW. That should help. It worked for me.

EXCUSE ME but some of us here are of an age where something like this can be very scary. I wasn't sure if I was having a senior moment, a stroke was coming on or that bad acid from the 60's was popping up again.
Please give us "older" AWers notice when these kinds of things are going to happen. At our age, sudden changes are frightening.

Please refer to this thread for updates - it seems that disabling the pop-up didn't even disable it. They are working on it.

THIS IS DIRECTED RIGHT TO THE MODERATOR. (FORGET THIS BOTHERING ME ABOUT ALL CAPS. THIS IS THE WAY I TYPE AND THAT'S THE WAY IS IS) WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT HERE HOWEVER IS THE FACT THAT I PAY A HEFTY AMOUNTS OF FEES MONTHLY FOR THE SERVICE AND MY POINT HERE IS THAT I FOUND OUT MORE ON THIS BOARD THAN I DID FROM THE ANNOUNCEMENTS. THEY ARE VERY VAUGE AND MOST GENERIC. WE WANT TO KNOW SPECIFICS! I JUST WASTED HOURS THINKING THIS WAS SOME PERSONAL PROBLEM TO FIND OUT HERE THIS IS A BIG TIME PROBLEM FROM YOUR SERVICE. I UNDERSTAND THESE KINDS OF THINGS TAKE TIME TO FIX BUT THEY NEED TO BE MORE SPECIFIC IN THE FUTURE WHEN RELAYING MESSAGES TO US OF PROBLEMS. Just trying to read this thread gives me four pop ups. AW your users do not want pop up! Please boycott all pop up adverts.

The reason that we post here on the ebay thread is that it is an ebay-related problem when we cannot get our ebay work done because of the intrusions. That big one just took over half my screen and took 20 seconds to load. This is not a problem for the feedback board, this is an ebay-related problem because we can't even get our ebay work done. Every couple of weeks some crazy person there dumps this carp on us and sits back to see how we take it. Haven't they learned that we don't take it well? These are not accidents or bugs, someone is throwing carp at the wall to see what sticks. It doesn't.

Hi. Yes we had lots of carp up in Illinois. Just using the term here in case auctionwatch doesn't like their crap called crap.
