What is new about it? End of Auction notices have come from ebay for quite some time, and it is up to the buyer to determine what notices they want to receive.

Yes, you are right, that is very different. I've been hearing baout checkout, but was not sure when it would happen. Do you have to take Billpoint to have this happen? I accept paypal, but not billpoint.

Oh boy, I looked, that is certain to confuse and screw up auction endings.
Up front it tells the buyer to check out - even tho seller has not selected it or provided s/h info.
In small type it says seller will send and EOA...
It also asks the seller to Update his checkout info!!
What a screwed up mess!!!
I guess we will have to put in our descriptions in big bold letters: WINNER, DO NOT USE CHECKOUT! I WILL EMAIL YOU AFTER AUCTION!!!!

The new end of auction notices will soon be populated with lots of PAID CORPORATE ADS and other eBay promotions.

You may want to join the mass exodus of folks leaving E-bay for Yahoo. E-bay's really goofed on this one. I'm one powerseller who has had enough.
